Why?
Well, I am a teacher by profession and that day I got to be one the students of Teacher Mitch of Momsterpiece in her very own Brush Lettering and Heat Embossing Workshop in Ifex Pop Up Shop,CO/OP in A. Mabini Street San Juan. Manila.
I got to be an apprentice for a day... It was my first time to spend a lot of hours learning how to write. My hands were very stubborn even in keeping a straight strokes of lines but teacher Mitch of Momsterpiece was really so patient in dealing with my difficulties in doing so...
I got the workshop for 2200 Php but was so worth it because I have inside my workshop kit that is more than 2200... My snack was so hefty! I love my serving of very sumptuous pesto pasta and sandwich with very satisfying !
I had the whole day with her filled with learning by the heart... I saw in her such amazing passion and dedication as a teacher...

My current realization are...
It is not true that “You can’t teach Old Dogs
new tricks.” Yes, I considered myself as an old dog… It is hard for me to learn
new things especially in terms of one workshop or seminar or learning or
sitting only. However, Teacher Mitch, who had been so patient with me in terms
of long period of learning, made no hesitation of giving everything to me. She
one of the good examples of teachers who do not give up on her students even
though it is really visible that the students are slower than the normal ones.
I have very stiff fingers; she had guided me in every stroke of the brush on my
special papers which I don’t wish to be wasted because I was a very difficult
student.
It is easier to learn when you have proper materials and a happy tummy. The workshop is worth 2200, It was pricey for the others. I was sceptic. It is very unbelievable for me with such fee for one day. But 5 hours of learning with such fine materials and real good comfort food, it was so worth it. I had some pesto and sandwiches and some salad with 2 servings brewed house tea. With a total billing of more than 1000k. This is my first time to have a workshop with such lovely and real hefty food to be filled. Well learning is tiring and Teacher Mitch of Momsterpiece knows how to make her students happy even in a learning new tricks. She made the workshop fun to learn because I have a very happy tummy.
All the materials in my loot bag are very fine. Ifex provided such awesome quality materials that are very affordable. I love everything in my loot. With almost a total of more than 2000 pesos plus some new bunch of papers, I had taken home for free to be able to practice at home without worries where to find them. Wow! I total wonderful experience indeed.
Teacher Mitch taught me that this kind of learning can also me my means of income when I get to practice and practice to be perfect in terms of calligraphy and other crafting. I didn’t realize that until she made me do so. I can get to earn from my hobby. Earning while having fun is awesome. Teacher Mitch of Momsterpiece taught me this!
